Installations

Backflow prevention devices are intended, engineered, and designed to stop the reverse flow of water from any source in the various plumbing systems whether it’s domestic, irrigation, fire, or reclaimed water systems.

Like any mechanical system whether in a residential, commercial, or industrial setting the installation of the backflow prevention system selected must be based on sound technical footings and reasoning as to the level or degree of hazard that’s being presented not only to the authority providing the water but also to the occupants who will reside and or work in the facility.

Many water utilities will have installation guidelines establishing minimum installation standards upon which the installations must adhere to based on industry standards and or local codes and ordinances.

Good installations are the ones where the aforementioned technical footings and reasoning have been put into practice and a thorough inspection of the installation has been conducted by a certified and experienced inspector licensed in the practice of Cross-Connection control.

Many new installation failures occur due to poor general cleanliness practices during the plumbing process or the underground pipe laying process leading to the backflow prevention devices themselves.

Here at Carolina Backflow Specialties, Inc., we approach every new installation focusing on what the word NEW actually means; Never Ever Worked, because until we have inspected the installation, accessibility, installation environment, appropriateness of the device for the application, and finally a stringent test certification we consider it has Never Ever Worked. Once these things have been evaluated and addressed, only then will we sign off on the installation and give it a clean certification.

So, what does all of this attention to detail accomplish?   It gives the customer who hired us to do the inspection assurance that we have their best interest at heart, ensures that the installation was correct, and it offers them lasting value for the dollars spent.

Carolina Backflow Specialties, Inc. is here to help you to evaluate existing installations, correct problem installations, or provide new installation services that meet and exceed water authority requirements; all of this is to ultimately give you peace of mind.

I'm very glad I found this company. We needed to get a backflow test per the water company, so I checked a few companies and they had the best price by far. Everyone I talked to was extremely nice and professional. The technician pointed out that we might need service next year but did not pressure me whatsoever to do anything now (even though he easily could have), so I appreciated that. With such a good price, I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they also file the paperwork with the city. Needless to say, I highly recommend them!

11 out of 10: These folks helped our family when we had been without water for a few days. After calling a couple companies that wouldn’t touch the job, we finally thought to give them a call. It was towards the end of the day and they stopped what they were doing and made the trip over within 30 minutes of my phone call. They rearranged their personal schedules because the job was going to take them past closing time, but they did so because they didn’t want us to be without water for another day. We agreed upon a very fair and reasonable price and within a few hours we had water again. I wish this company was in other fields as well, because this type of customer service and care is really hard to find.
